Everyone of us now know that this time National games are going to be held in Gujarat, and the 36th National games which are going to be held in 6 major cities across the state is a week away, this time around 36 sports are going to played by the sports person which will be including around 7,000 sports person across the country. Participants from 36 states and Union Territory across the state.
According to Ashwini Kumar who is the present principal secretary around 12,000 participants are expected including the coaches and the support staffs, hence will be biggest National sport ever organized in the country.
If talking about the total expenditure on the sportsperson and their team around 150-200 crore rupees till today have been invested for the accommodation of the them, This year National Sports is organized in 6 cities of the state which includes Ahmedabad, Surat ,Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Rajkot and Gandhinagar.
The last National Sports were organized in Kerala and Jharkhand which were held in 2011 and 2015 respectively included around 33 sports . This year the state government t is making sure that the buzz across the state to increase the interest of audiences especially the youths and children in the state related to sports. The Mascot for this National Sport is Lion which is named as ‘Saavaj.’
The National Sports will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad for the 14 days long sports event in the state. The actual reason behind organizing this national sports event in the sate is to increase the interest and engagement of people and children in sports and sports related activities.
